(Kalahandi Organisation for Agriculture and Rural Marketing Initiative)
KARMI is a Non-Governmental, Non-political, Voluntary Organisation that has been working in Kalahandi District of Odisha since 1997 with the objectives to bring sustainable change in the socio-economic condition of rural, tribal, disadvantaged and oppressed masses in the community with a group of experience and trained social workers. The office of the organization is situated at Kadobhatta village of Mahaling GP in Golamunda block and Coordination office situated in M.Rampur and other project offices in concerned block. The main aim of the Organisation is to establish a just, sustainable and participatory society by utilizing local available resources and people organisation’s where each individual will live in dignity and self respect. KARMI has been registered under the Society Registration Act1860, FCRA by Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India and Income Tax Act 12A and 80G. The major programme of KARMI for the sustainable livelihood based on agriculture and rural marketing as well development of primary education, community health, protection and up gradation of natural resources empowerment of the target community.
To establish a just, sustainable and participatory society by utilising the local available natural resources and services where each individual will live with dignity and self respect.
